Recently someone stumbled onto my blog and made some interesting comments. Initially, I was angered, but then I had to laugh. I remembered opinions are like the common cold in the height of the winter—everyone is bound to catch a nasty one once in a while.
Anonymous and appropriately self-titled “NOBODY,” made the following remarks after reading a couple of my entries:
“You Forgot Reason number 11. Stop reading Negative Blogs like this. You can't attract something, by constantly thinking and reading about it's opposite. And chances are if you attracted this blog, you are probably repealing the opposite of what this blog is about. Think about that for a minute!!!!
Disrespect. How is that disrespect. Hell in the 20's what you considered plain dancing would have been considered Disrespect. Get off you miserable high horse.
Talking about you can't find love in a club. I doubt you could find love anywhere. It’s not the club it's probably you...”
I guess “NOBODY” felt personally attacked by my blog and felt the need to attack back. I think most of my readers would agree my blog is far from negative. It’s meant to be entertaining and help us laugh at ourselves and some of the silly things we do—over and over again. Furthermore, I have never alleged that my opinions are fact or the gospel. They are a reflection of things that have happened in my life and the lives of my close friends. I don’t feel the need to debate or defend any of my opinions—because I never stated them as facts.
And while it would be really easy to attack back, I am going to take the high road. I don’t know how this person found my website, but the fact that he or she did tells me that I am still working the search engines. (And that's reason to celebrate!) Let’s face it; people want to know about living a happy, successful and fulfilling life—especially in these tough economic times. So I am happy to be a part of spreading the word. Cheers to everyone who reads this regardless of what box you check on an application: Single, Married, Separated, Divorced, Living with Someone, Widowed, etc. Work it and work it good!
Love ya,
~bee
